The role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing water damage, creating detailed estimates of the repair costs, and coordinating with insurance companies and clients to facilitate the repair process. This role requires a thorough understanding of construction, restoration processes, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site inspections of properties affected by water damage to assess the extent of the damage.
  • Prepare detailed estimates for water damage repairs, including labor, materials, and time frames, using industry-standard estimating software.
  • Communicate effectively with property owners, insurance adjusters, and contractors throughout the repair process.
  • Negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of the client to ensure fair and comprehensive coverage of the damage repair costs.
  • Coordinate with the project management team to schedule repairs and ensure all aspects of the estimate are executed efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, techniques, and regulatory requirements related to water damage restoration.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, offering clear explanations and reassurance to clients during stressful situations.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction, insurance, or water damage restoration industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction and water damage restoration principles, techniques, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software (e.g., Xactimate) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents and insurance policies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally to job sites.
  • Certification in Water Damage Restoration (IICRC) is a plus.
